Lester Group's reputation for commitment, reliability and high return on investment is the foundation on which more than a decade of successful property development has been based.

Throughout this period, Lester Group has been a pre-eminent developer in the south west of Western Australia, particularly the Margaret River region, an area underpinned by an enviable lifestyle among some of the world's best wineries, restaurants and surf beaches.

Significant other residential land developments undertaken by Lester Group include projects at Eagle Bay, Dunsborough, Australind, Dawesville, Rockingham, Joondalup, Byford and Exmouth.

Builtform projects undertaken by Lester Group include the high profile, exclusive Moorings Apartments on the Swan River, North Fremantle and a number of apartment buildings in the upmarket East Perth Re-development precinct.

Projects currently on the drawing board include a 2,000 lot residential estate at Busselton, a small but exclusive residential estate adjoining the Pemberton forests and the development of lifestyle villages in the burgeoning retirement industry.

Richard Lester

Founder and Chairman of the Group, Dick Lester, has a national reputation as an outstanding and innovative businessman with a particular flair for the property market. In 1980, he established Growth Equities Mutual Limited (GEM) a property trust fund manager in Australia, which grew to over $1.6 billion worth of property under management.

Following the sale of GEM to the Lend Lease Group in 1994, Dick established Lester Group and began a "land bank" of broadacre residential development sites in strategic WA locations.

Dick's numerous board memberships have included several charitable organisations, Chairman of the Committee of the Cancer Council of WA and Edge Employment Services, and was the Chairman of the Murdoch Veterinary Trust.

Dick was a Non-Executive Director of Wesfarmers Limited from 1995, until his recent retirement in June 2008 and is currently Chairman of the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research.
